Client

The Strategist, New York Magazine's consumer product recommendation vertical.

Challenge

Execute a holiday shopping-themed affiliate marketing campaign by giving readers of the Strategist's widest-read newsletter a clear idea of who each day's product is for.

Actions

Created a "giftee persona" (think "aspiring plant moms", "artsy teens", etc.) for each affiliate product, and clearly articulated why the day's gift is perfect for that recipient.    

Results

I wrote 25 newsletters' worth of copy in November and December '23, optimizing all email elements from subject to footer to increase open and conversion rates.

After the success of this campaign, I was hired to write an additional set of newsletters for their Valentine's Day 2024 Gift of the Day campaign.
