I overhauled the copy and content of Apple's podcaster-focused subdomain, highlighting new features and offerings while adapting the iconic brand's distinct voice for a new context.

Client

While I handled a variety of Apple projects through my work with Kettle, this project focused on their Apple Podcasts for Creators subdomain, a hub for current and aspiring podcasters.

Challenge

Apple had just introduced a subscription-based model to help podcasters monetize their work. Alongside UX and visual designers, we were tasked with reorganizing, refreshing, and rewriting various pages to clarify and strengthen messaging around subscriptions.

Actions

Full-on copy refresh of top-level pages of the subdomain, with a focus on language that empowered members of this key audience to monetize their passion. 

Additionally, I edited interviews with major podcasters like Roxanne Gay, writing ~200 word intros, and crafted monthly email newsletters sharing insights and inspiration. 

Results

Successful implementation of new UX flows, directional / promotional copy, and imagery across subdomain. This success led me to write additional Apple Music for Artists newsletters as well.
